Meg Donnelly to star in 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical' on Broadway

Welcome to the Moulin Rouge! Meg Donnelly will join the cast of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway later this fall, starring as Satine from November 11, 2025 to March 1, 2026 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
Donnelly rose to fame with her onscreen performances as Addison Wells in the Zombies film franchise, Taylor Otto on ABC's American Housewife, and Mary Campbell on the CW's The Winchesters. Moulin Rouge! The Musical marks her Broadway debut.
"I have been dreaming of this moment since birth, and it is hard to fathom it is even real," Donnelly said in a statement. "I am beyond excited to play Satine and to be joining this incredible show, cast, and crew.
"You can tell it is truly family at Moulin Rouge! The Musical, everyone has been extremely welcoming & supportive. Ah! I am so happy to be surrounded by theatre kids again. I am coming home! This whole time I keep picturing what little me would be thinking!? I am doing this for her.”
Donnelly will replace current cast member Ashley Loren as Satine. The company also includes Christian Douglas as Christian, Wayne Brady as Harold Zidler, and David Harris as The Duke of Monroth from September 30.
As previously announced, Robert Petkoff will star as Zidler from November 11 to January 25, after which Bob the Drag Queen will take over the role through March 22.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical, adapted from Baz Luhrmann's beloved film, sets the star-crossed love story of a writer and a showgirl to a score of pop hits. In 2021, the show won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
