Welcome to the Moulin Rouge! Gabe Martínez joins the cast of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on October 10, playing the role of Santiago at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

Martínez replaced original Broadway cast member Ricky Rojas, who plays his final performance in the role on September 10. In the interim before Martínez's arrival, Alexander Gil Cruz and Ricardo A. Zayas will alternate as Santiago.

Martínez previously played the role on the national tour of Moulin Rouge! The Musical. He now joins a Broadway cast that also includes Courtney Reed as Satine, Casey Cott as Christian, Eric Anderson as Harold Zidler, André Ward as Toulouse-Lautrec, David Harris as The Duke of Monroth, and Sophie Carmen-Jones as Nini.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical opened in 2019 and went on to win 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The show is based on the 2001 Baz Luhrmann film of the same name, following the star-crossed romance between the writer Christian and courtesan Satine at the title Paris nightclub.
