About Masquerade

Get Masquerade tickets when they go on sale on New York Theatre Guide to see this sexy, singular, and site-specific experience: a night out at the Opera Populaire with the Phantom of the Opera. With Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (Pippin) on the production team, Masquerade promises to be a unique theatrical event. Masquerade plays for a limited time only, running at 218 West 57th Street in a completely redesigned and lavishly decorated venue.

Experience Masquerade off Broadway and go deeper into the world of The Phantom of the Opera, Broadway's longest-running musical. This special experience will bring you closer to the music of the night, but much of it is shrouded in mystery: the exact plot, the venue décor, and even the password to enter the show are all a secret up until you arrive. Audiences who are fans of immersive hits like Sleep No More will find much to enjoy in this production, as will lovers of The Phantom of the Opera.

With a sprawling cast, Masquerade is meant to be a ball of a time — literally. The play is not just a piece of theatre but a masquerade ball in which audiences are required to don cocktail attire with a signature black, silver, or white mask.

A man of mystery, the Phantom of the Opera has never been fully explained: until now. From the highest rooftop to the subterranean lair deep below the Opera Populaire, guests are promised an evening that is one of a kind. And when the iconic chandelier rises again above New York City, it will come with a shimmering display of over 30,000 crystals, all provided by official crystal sponsor Preciosa.

Ready to be dazzled? The Phantom is ready for his grand return. Tickets to Masquerade in New York will be available here soon.
