Here's everything you need to know about the 2022 Tony Awards.
They say the neon lights are bright on Broadway. They were dimmed for most of last year, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic. But as of August 2021, Broadway shows have been back in full swing, and Broadway's biggest night is back to its normal venue and time of year.
More productions are up for awards this year than last, as a slate of new shows and revivals are joined by a few productions that opened in 2020 just before the shutdown and were not eligible for 2020 awards. There’s no denying the razzamatazz of the Tony Awards, especially this year, now that there's a full, robust roster of shows on Broadway for the first time since before the pandemic.
Here’s our guide to the 2022 Tony Awards, where you can find out when and how to watch, what shows are up for awards, and more. This article will be continually updated as new information comes in.
