The 2026 Tony Awards will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2026. The Tony Awards usually take place in mid-June, just after the spring Broadway season ends. Find out more about the 2026 Tony Awards ceremony.

The 2026 Tony Awards will take place from 8-11 p.m. E.T. on June 7, broadcasting on CBS and Paramount+.

The Tony Awards ceremony, beginning at 8 p.m. ET on June 7, will be available to watch live on the CBS television network and the streaming platform Paramount+. Paramount+ Premium subscribers will be able to watch the broadcast live, while Paramount+ Essential subscribers will be able to stream the ceremony on demand beginning June 8.

In 2026, the Tony Awards will return to Radio City Music Hall, one of the most frequent homes of the ceremony. The awards were held there from 1997-2010, 2013-2015, 2017-2019, and in 2022 and 2025. The venue has 6,013 seats.

A host for the 2026 Tony Awards ceremony has not been announced yet. The 2025 ceremony was hosted by Wicked Oscar nominee and The Color Purple Tony winner Cynthia Erivo.

The Tony Awards: Act One is a pre-show for the main Tonys broadcast, featuring awards presentations, performances, and other exclusive content not shown on the main broadcast. The Tony Awards: Act One has been a part of the Tonys ceremonies from 2022-25, but it has not been announced whether there will be one for the 2026 ceremony.

This year's Tony Awards recognized shows that open between April 28, 2025 and April 26, 2026. Thirty-three shows are eligible for 2026 Tony Awards, including 11 musicals and 22 plays.

• Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre, awarded to at least one individual with a celebrated, decades-long career.
• Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award, awarded to a theatre artist involved with charitable or humanitarian work.
• Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre, awarded to institutions, organizations, or people who have made outstanding contributions to the theatre in roles outside those recognized by the competitive Tony Awards categories.
• Regional Theatre Tony Award, awarded to a theatre company or institution based outside New York City that has developed and premiered numerous shows that went on to have celebrated Broadway runs.
• The Excellence in Theatre Education Award, given to an outstanding theatre educator in the U.S.
• Additional special awards for outstanding individuals and organizations whose work in the past theatre season falls outside the competitive categories.

Performances at the 2026 Tony Awards have yet to be announced. Typically, all the nominees for Best Musical and Best Musical Revival will perform, and additional performances are sometimes given by other popular shows nominated for other awards, special Tony honorees, and more.
