Directed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), this story of extravagance and longing features a book by Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones) and a jazz- and pop-influenced original score by Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen (Paradise Square). The team also includes Broadway choreographer Dominique Kelley, who has collaborated with pop stars including Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Usher.
A famed American novel with many adaptations, including a 2013 film by Baz Luhrmann, The Great Gatsby now sings on Broadway for the first time. The Great Gatsby on Broadway unites two popular performers: Jeremy Jordan, known for his star-making role in Newsies, and Eva Noblezada, who starred in the 2017 Miss Saigon revival and then in Hadestown. These Broadway stars earned Tony Award nominations for each of those performances, and now they bring Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan to life.
