About JOB on Broadway

Get Job tickets and see Succession’s Peter Friedman and Sydney Lemmon star in Max Wolf Friedlich’s explosive Broadway thriller, running for a limited time only. Michael Herwitz directs this sly two-hander, coming to the Hayes Theater. Get Job tickets on New York Theatre Guide.

Experience Job on Broadway following the production’s two critically acclaimed off-Broadway runs. After being placed on leave following a viral workplace incident, Jane (Lemmon, granddaughter of legendary actor Jack Lemmon) would do anything to return to her Big Tech job. But as the therapist who needs to authorize it, Loyd (Friedman, Succession star and Screen Actors Guild Award winner) suspects her work might be doing more harm than good. A taut psychological drama about how much we love, or need, our work, Job is a contemporary thriller that grabs hold of its audience and won’t let go for a bracing 80-minute ride.

The play rocked off Broadway and garnered critical praise for the production and its star performers. “Don’t be alarmed if you catch yourself holding your breath throughout the entire show,” Time Out New York wrote, and The New Yorker called it “engrossing, disturbing, and frequently funny — it might even scare you off social media for a day or two.”

Friedman is a theatre regular, originating the role of Tateh in Ragtime, earning him a Tony Award nomination, and he also has six Drama Desk Award nominations to his name, and one win. Lemmon makes her Broadway debut in the play but has been seen on screen in Tár and Fear the Walking Dead. Both have also appeared on the Emmy-winning TV show Succession.

Now, the hit show, a New York Times Critic’s Pick, comes to Broadway for a limited time only. Tickets to Job are available now on New York Theatre Guide.

See it if Pycho thriller had me on the edge of my seat. Surprising, generational, intelligent and bizarre. Great characters, acting & effects.

Don’t see it if You can’t stand the suspense! It’s not perfect, but if you suspend your disbelief, it’s really cool.

See it if you like psychological thrillers (a la McDonagh); JOB is abt our lives in the internet age. Lemmon's terrific. Thought provoking, clever

Don’t see it if you need high prodn values, action, or light fare. Dense/tense talk. Opens w/pointed gun; not for kids. But lots of millennials in audience.

See it if a peak into the complex stress levels a job can bring an individual is just the perspective you've needed about your on work place drama.

Don’t see it if a story about someone who is dealing with a STRESSFUL work situation is too triggering for you because this play will set you off for sure!

See it if you want to see 2 actors shine in an intense, provocative drama. Clever and intense, the dialogue holds your attention for the 1-1/2 hours.

Don’t see it if you don't like two-handers. But you'll be missing out on an exciting theatrical experience. The audience was completely into it.
