What shows are eligible for the Tony Awards in 2023?

Due to the coronavirus pandemic causing the shutdown of Broadway's theatre, fewer shows were eligible for awards in 2020 than in most years. However, this year, there are plenty of eligible shows, between the few shows that opened in 2020 just after last year's cutoff date and all the new shows that opened in 2021 and 2022. This year's Tony Awards recognized shows that opened between February 20, 2020 and May 4, 2022. The original cutoff date was April 28, but it was pushed back to allow nominators more time to see the eligible shows.

Thirty-eight shows are eligible for the 2023 Tony Awards, including 19 new plays, 9 new musicals, 4 play revivals, and 6 musical revivals. All the eligible shows are listed below.
