As the end of November approaches, there are two major types of events happening across New York City this time of year: festive holiday celebrations and positively swankified Wicked-themed activities.

Thanksgiving is November 27, which means there are plenty of seasonal activities — most of which are zero cost—to take part in, from watching the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to catching one of the many Christmas tree lightings across the city. And, with the release of Wicked: For Good on November 21, there are numerous ways to celebrate in NYC this month, from specialty cocktails to themed hotel stays. (Why not grab tickets to Wicked on Broadway while you’re at it?)

Of course, no NYC trip would be complete without catching a show, so discover our roundup of the best holiday shows in New York right now.
