New York Comic Con

Date and venue: October 9-12 at the Javits Center

The 2025 New York Comic Con is hosting numerous panels featuring some of Broadway’s hottest stars and creators. Some of the most popular shows on and off Broadway — like Hamilton, Death Becomes Her, and Little Shop of Horrors — will have exclusive panels with cast and creatives. Date and venue: October 12 at Stella 34 Trattoria

Don’t dream it, be it at Stella 34 Trattoria’s Rocky Horror Picture Show drag brunch. It’s the perfect way to satiate your antici...pation for the cult-classic show’s 2026 Broadway revival. Join Brad, Janet, and Dr. Frank-N-Furter while you sing along to some of your favorite songs from this time-honored show.

Hosted by RuPaul's Drag Race Olivia Lux, this drag brunch encourages costumes, so don’t forget your fishnets. Tickets start at $23, and parties are seated first-come, first-serve.

Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail

Date and venue: Now through November 30 at the New York Botanical Garden

Ring in spooky season with the New York Botanical Garden’s hauntingly fun Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail. Step into some of your favorite scenes from the classic animated film, as Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero, and more come to life in this immersive light trail set among the lush flowers and plants. And no Nightmare Before Christmas-themed event would be complete without the iconic music playing.

Buena Vista Social Club ¡Viva! Broadway Performance

Date and venue: October 17 from 5-10 p.m. at the Whitney Museum

Musicians from Broadway’s Buena Vista Social Club will perform a pop-up show in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Hosted by ¡Viva! Broadway, a program that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Latiné and Hispanic communities on Broadway, this event will feature a 90-minute performance, a panel discussion about the show’s themes and the artistic relationship between Havana and NYC, a DJ set, and a dance class.

The event is free to attend as part of the Whitney Museum’s Free Friday Nights program, but tickets are required.

Pop star Tate McRae returns to New York City’s Madison Square Garden this October after two sold-out performances last month. She’s show off her dance and vocal skills on her Miss Possessive Tour, performing hits like “greedy” and “Sports car.” Alessi Rose will open.

Dylan Mulvaney’s The Least Problematic Woman in the World

Date and venue: Now through October 19 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre

Trans actress and icon Dylan Mulvaney makes her Off-Broadway debut with her one-woman show, The Least Problematic Woman in the World, about her rise from a Catholic school kid to a trans TikTok icon. She explores girlhood, fame, and her journey of self-discovery in this campy show, which New York Theatre Guide's critic called "jubilant."

Dear New York art exhibit

Date and venue: Now through October 19 at Grand Central Terminal

Grand Central received a massive makeover to create an immersive, one-of-a-kind, and free art installation dedicated to the beloved Instagram account Humans of New York. Created by Brandon Stanton, the exhibit replaces every advertisement in the train station with over 150 images of locals as a “visual love letter to the people of New York," just as the Instagram account lets New Yorkers share their stories with the world.

Broadway After Dark: The Curtain Call Crawl

Date and venue: Nightly at 11 p.m. following Broadway shows

This unique late-night crawl kicks off the minute you leave your Broadway theatre, where you’ll be met by a fabulous drag queen as your guide. The 2-hour private tour meanders through Hell’s Kitchen and is filled with surprises at every turn, including live performances.

Broadway After Dark: The Curtain Call Crawl promises Broadway stories and “insider tea” in addition to cocktails and plenty of glam. Tickets start at $69 per person, and you must book as a group.

The Mediterranean restaurant Iris is celebrating Mamma Mia!’s return to Broadway with a trio of martinis inspired by the show and the Greek Isles. Buena Vista Social Club drinks at Bar Sprezzatura

Date and venue: Throughout October at Bar Sprezzatura

Located just a five-minute walk from the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, Bar Sprezzatura is offering special cocktails inspired by Buena Vista Social Club throughout the month of October. The Italian cocktail bar has a year-round rooftop and serves signature spritzes and more, making it a perfect pre- or post-show place to grab a drink and a bite to eat.

Lincoln Center Festival of Firsts

Date and venue: Now through October 23 in Lincoln Center

Lincoln Center is hosting its fourth annual Festival of Firsts, which is completely free to the public. The three-week event showcases new and emerging artists, as well as artists making their U.S. and/or NYC debuts. Enjoy singers, musicians, immersive performances, and more.

One example of an event is Art Bath, a multi-disciplinary piece blending dance, opera, music, theatre, and visual art. Festival of Firsts performances are first-come, first-serve by showing up the day of the show; check out the full schedule.

Beetlejuice takeover at the Tempo Hotel

Date and venue: Now through October 31 at the Tempo Hotel

True fans of the ghost with the most will want to check out the Beetlejuice suite at the Hilton’s Tempo Hotel in Times Square in honor of the musical’s return to Broadway. The suite features black-and-white striped walls and ceilings, a spooky mural of the Maitland residence, and plenty of photo opportunities with character portraits, iconic quotes, and more.

Even if staying in this Netherworld-ready hotel room isn’t in the cards, you can still visit the Tempo’s Highball Bar and Lounge for its Beetlejuice-inspired prix fixe menu. Enjoy items like a shrimp cocktail (that is not possessed!), a black-and-white cookie, and a Netherworld cocktail. Reservations are available online.

Beetlejuice's 41 Days of October

Date and venue: Now through November 10 at various locations

The Beetlejuice fun just keeps on coming this October. The Broadway production at the Palace Theatre is celebrating its return with 41 Days of October, a slate of events happening through Halloween and beyond. Activities include a postcard giveaway every Tuesday, a costume contest every Thursday, panels, restaurant crawls, and more. Check out the full list of events.

Beetlejuice drinks at Mom’s Kitchen and Bar

Date and venue: Throughout October at Mom's Kitchen & Bar

Broadway-favorite eatery Mom’s is offering two Beetlejuice-themed drinks in October, so you can get a pre- or post-show libation even Otho would approve of. The Ghost With the Most cocktail is a fruity rum drink with sour apple, orange, and hibiscus, while the Say My Shake is an alcohol-free milkshake with vanilla, blueberry, and gummies.
