It's getting another term! Oh, Mary! has announced new casting and extended on Broadway for a third time, with tickets now available through June 28, 2025. Get Oh, Mary! tickets on New York Theatre Guide.
Oh, Mary! dives into the life of Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks before Abraham Lincoln's assassination. In playwright Cole Escola's comedic version of events, she's consumed by desire, booze, and an unquenchable desire to be a cabaret star.
"Oh, Mary! lands on Broadway with a triumphant flourish," New York Theatre Guide's critic raved. "The entire ensemble elevates very silly jokes into a work of art that keeps you riveted from start to finish."
Currently, Escola stars as Mary Todd Lincoln. From January 21 to March 16, three-time Emmy Award nominee Betty Gilpin (Netflix's Glow) will make her Broadway debut in the role.
“I have worshiped at the altar of Cole for years, but seeing their billion layered brilliance in Oh, Mary! was a new plane of demented genius I didn’t know was scientifically possible,” Gilpin said in a statement. “I am beyond honored to step in so that Cole can get back to tending their neglected passions: fracking and skincare. Diving in with the perfect [director] Sam Pinkleton to play Mary will be one of the single greatest joys of my life, and I will say that to my two daughters’ faces.”
Continuing cast members, all of whom have been with the show since its Off-Broadway premiere in January, include Conrad Ricamora as Mary's Husband, James Scully as Mary's Teacher, Bianca Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone, and Tony Macht as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.
The show's planned two-month Off-Broadway run was extended due to critical and audience acclaim. Similarly, Oh, Mary! on Broadway was initially scheduled to end its limited run at the Lyceum Theatre on September 15. Its previous extensions were through November 10 and then January 19.
