Jinkx Monsoon to return to 'Oh, Mary!' on Broadway

The RuPaul’s Drag Race star and Broadway regular will play a monthlong engagement as Mary Todd Lincoln starting in January 2026, succeeding Jane Krakowski.

Jinkx Monsoon will return to the title role of Mary Todd Lincoln in Oh, Mary! on Broadway, playing 30 performances only at the Lyceum Theatre from January 8 to February 1, 2026.

Monsoon is best known for winning RuPaul’s Drag Race twice and performing in NYC in Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Chicago, and Little Shop of Horrors. She previously starred in Oh, Mary! from August to September of this year.

“I was plotting my return before my first run was half through,” said Monsoon in a statement. “Normally I like more of a break before an encore, but this is one of those shows you can’t wait to come back to. Like the loving and familiar casts I had in my previous endeavors, this show is also the passion project and combined genius of some really great friends. Mary is a role that will live on in our theatre world. I have already met young, aspiring actors who call Mary their 'Dream Role' someday. There’s no chance I’m not coming back to this show as many times as makes sense!”

Performing alongside Monsoon will be current cast members Cheyenne Jackson as Mary’s Teacher, John-Andrew Morrison as Mary’s Husband, Jenn Harris as Mary's Chaperone, and Tony Macht as Mary's Husband's Assistant. Jackson will perform through January 25, while the others are currently scheduled to perform through February 1.

As previously announced, current star Jane Krakowski will play her final performance as Mary on January 4. Hannah Solow will assume the role on January 6 and 7 before Monsoon rejoins.
