Celebrity Autobiography, the long-running critics' favorite which features a variety of performers reading excerpts from... yep, you guessed it... celebrity autobiographies, finally debuts on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre, hosting performances on three Mondays evenings throughout November/December 2018.
The line-up for each performance, subject to change, is as follows:
November 26: Lewis Black, Matthew Broderick, Mario Cantone, Tate Donovan, Rachel Dratch, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, and Cecily Strong
December 10: Alec Baldwin, Mario Cantone, Tony Danza, Rachel Dratch, Susan Lucci, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, and Cecily Strong
December 17: Mario Cantone, Rachel Dratch, Susan Lucci, Eugene Pack, Antoni Porowski, Dayle Reyfel, Michael Urie, and Jonathan Van Ness
Created by Emmy Award nominee Eugene Pack and developed by Pack alongside Dayle Reyfel, Celebrity Autobiography was first staged in Los Angeles in 1998 and went on to gain grain popularity thanks to a 2005 television special on Bravo. Beginning in 2008, Celebrity Autobiography has been regularly mounted off-Broadway at the Triad, features a stellar line-up of comedic actors performing from the actual memoirs of a wide variety of stars, ranging from Elizabeth Taylor, Debbie Reynolds, and Eddie Fisher to Richard Burton. It has since been performed in London's West End, in Edinburgh, and at Australia’s Sydney Opera House.
