Jeremy Jordan wasn't sure he was right for the role of Bobby Darin in Just in Time at first. After all, not only was he filling the shoes of an iconic singer, but of original star Jonathan Groff, who shared his personal history with Darin's music with the audience before transforming into the character. But once Jordan read the script and met with co-writer Isaac Oliver, the two-time Tony Award nominee found his own way in, and the excitement began.

"Even though it is a big role, it starts with me; I can bring my own energy and my own comfort zone into the mix," Jordan said. "That is such a great launch ramp to get into anything that it's like, 'Okay, I've already put myself at ease. Hopefully, I put you at ease. We're all in this together. Now, let's go.'"

Plus, Jordan has plenty of concerts and solo shows under his belt, so he's no stranger to connecting directly with an audience. And, like Groff, Jordan gets to show fans something they rarely get to see on stage: his dance chops. Clearly, Just in Time was a natural fit for him all along, even before he knew it.

You'll have to attend the show to see exactly how Jordan's shaped it. In the meantime, get a sneak peek by watching our full interview with Jordan below.
