It has now been officially confirmed that the critically acclaimed Royal Shakespeare Company productions of Hilary Mantel's best-selling novels Wolf Hall and its sequel Bring Up The Bodies, which are currently playing in repertoire at the West End's Aldwych Theatre until 4 October 2014, will be transferring to Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre. Wolf Hall: Parts 1 & 2, as the double bill will be renamed for Broadway, begins performances on 20 March 2015, with an official opening day confirmed for 9 April 2015.
The novels tell the story of the political rise to power of Thomas Cromwell from blacksmith's boy to Henry VIII's right hand man. They have been adapted for the stage by Mike Poulton and directed by Jeremy Herrin.
The original cast members, who have been confirmed for the transfer include Ben Miles as Thomas Cromwell, Nathaniel Parker as Henry VIII, and Lydia Leonard as Anne Boleyn. Further casting will be announced in the coming months.

The double bill will be produced on Broadway by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Playful Productions UK's Matthew Byam Shaw, Nia Janis & Nick Salmon, and the Shubert Organization.
The RSC productions officially opened at the West End's Aldwych Theatre on 17 May 2014 to excellent reviews and have enjoyed sold-out performances on a regular basis.
