Naturi Naughton-Lewis will join the cast of The Great Gatsby on Broadway at the Broadway Theatre beginning July 31.

Naughton-Lewis (“Power”, Fame, ABC’s “Queens”) will return to the Broadway stage for the first time in 20 years, where she debuted as Little Inez in Hairspray following her time in R&B group 3LW. She succeeds original Broadway cast member Samantha Pauly, who ends her run as Jordan Baker on July 26.

“20 years ago, I made my Broadway debut in Hairspray and now I get to come back to the theater as a new woman with new money as the fabulous Jordan Baker!” said Naughton-Lewis in a statement. “The Great Gatsby is a classic and I can’t wait to party with a live audience!”

The production currently stars Reeve Carney as the Jay Gatsby, Eva Noblezada as Daisy Buchanan, Corbin Bleu as Nick Carraway, John Behlmann as Tom Buchanan, Linedy Genao as Myrtle Wilson, Charlie Pollock as George Wilson, and Matthew Saldívar as Meyer Wolfsheim.

This musical adaptation of f. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel follows the wealthy, yet eccentric and mysterious Jay Gatsby in his quest to find Daisy Buchanan, his first great love. This epic tale of romance and extravagance introduces us to other complex characters with their own competing challenges. This story is now on stage with a grand presence and Tony award-winning production design.
