Peyton List to join 'Heathers The Musical'

Peyton List starred in the hit Paramount+ TV series School Spirits, and is also known for her portrayal of Tory Nichols in Netflix series Cobra Kai.

Welcome to Westerberg, Peyton List! The School Spirits actor will join Heathers The Musical at New World Stages from January 26, 2026.

Taking over from Jodie Steele as Heather Chandler, List said: “I’m drawn to characters who are powerful, complicated, and a little dangerous. Heather Chandler is an icon for a reason — she’s larger than life, hilarious, terrifying, and deeply symbolic. Stepping into this role is thrilling, and I can’t wait to enter my bad girl era. It’ll be so very.”

List is also known for her portrayal of Tory Nichols in Netflix series Cobra Kai.

Heathers, which features book, music and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe, follows high school student Veronica Sawyer, who is taken under the wings of popular girl group The Heathers — with disastrous consequences. The musical is based on the film by Daniel Waters, starring Winona Ryder as Sawyer.

The rest of the cast includes Kuhoo Verma as Veronica Sawyer, Casey Likes as Jason “J.D.” Dean, Jackera Davis as Heather Duke, Elizabeth Teeter as Heather McNamara, Kerry Butler as Ms. Fleming/Veronica’s Mom, Erin Morton as Martha Dunnstock, Xavier McKinnon as Ram Sweeney, Cade Ostermeyer as Kurt Kelly, Ben Davis as Ram’s Dad/Big Bud Dean/Coach Ripper, and Cameron Loyal as Kurt’s Dad/Veronica’s Dad/Principal Gowan.

The cast also features Sara Al-Bazali, Emma Benson, James Caleb Grice, Louis Griffin, Devin Lewis, Kiara Michelle Lee, Brian Martin, Lav Raman, Syd Sider, and Cecilia Trippiedi.
