The name on everybody's lips is gonna be... Mira! Mira Sorvino will make her Broadway debut in Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre for a limited time this fall, performing from September 15 to November 2 only.

Sorvino is best known for her Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Critics’ Choice Award-winning performance in the film Mighty Aphrodite, as well as for her roles as Romy White in Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, Kate Morozov in the miniseries Human Trafficking (Golden Globe nomination) and Marilyn Monroe in HBO’s Norma Jean and Marilyn (Emmy, Golden Globe nominations).

Additional film and TV credits include Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story: Impeachment and Hollywood, Spike Lee’s Summer of Sam, Guillermo del Toro’s Mimic, Mothers and Daughters, Stuber, and Starz's Shining Vale.

In Chicago, Sorvino will star as Roxie Hart, a wannabe vaudeville star thrown in jail for murder. With the aid of a veteran vaudevillian and a slick lawyer, she aims to win over the public and get acquitted — and get famous in the process.

“I have wished to dance and sing in a Broadway musical since I was a small child," Sorvino said in a statement. "To join Chicago, such a legendary show, and such an incredible cast past and present, is literally a dream come true!!”

The current Chicago Broadway cast features Dylis Croman as Roxie Hart, Bianca Marroquín as Velma Kelly, Jacqueline B. Arnold as Matron "Mama" Morton, Tam Mutu as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.

Chicago features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Fred Ebb, and it is the longest-running musical currently on Broadway and second-longest-running of all time, having opened in 1996.
