Bianca Marroquín

Bianca Marroquín stars as Velma Kelly in Chicago on Broadway at the Ambassador Theatre.

Marroquín made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago in 2022, becoming the first Mexican actress to have a starring role on Broadway. She has played various stints as both Roxie and Velma in the musical over the course of more than 20 years, including in the Broadway production and the national tour, for which she received the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actress and five awards from the Mexican Critics Association, including Best Actress.

Other Broadway roles include Daniela in In the Heights and Carmen in The Pajama Game. In 2014, Marroquín was named the first national ambassador for Viva Broadway, an outreach program dedicated to bringing Broadway to Latinx communities.
