Kandi Burruss to join ‘& Juliet’ Broadway cast
The Grammy-winning and Emmy- and Tony-nominated performer, producer, and musician joins the hit pop musical at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in December.

Kandi Burruss will join the cast of & Juliet on Broadway for a limited run. The Grammy winner and Tony and Emmy nominee will perform in the pop musical at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre from December 11, 2025 to March 11, 2026.
Best known for her time on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Burruss also has a long history in the music world; she was in the R&B girl group Xscape and has songwriting credits on hits like Destiny’s Child’s Grammy-nominated “Bills, Bills, Bills,” and TLC’s Grammy-winning “No Scrubs." Burruss made her Broadway acting debut in Chicago in 2018 and has since gone on to produce multiple Broadway shows, including the Tony Award-nominated The Piano Lesson and the upcoming revival of Joe Turner's Come and Gone in spring 2026.
In & Juliet, she will replace current star Cheryl Porter in the role of Angélique. The current cast also includes Gianna Harris as Juliet, James Monroe Iglehart as Lance, Alison Luff as Anne, Drew Gehling as Shakespeare, Michael Iván Carrier as May, Liam Pearce as Romeo, and Nathan Levy as François.
& Juliet uses pop hits from Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, and many more to power a story that imagines what happens if Shakespeare's Juliet doesn't die. Instead, she goes to Paris on a journey of self-discovery, seeking life beyond Romeo.
