That’s the way it is. & Juliet will play its final Broadway performance at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on January 3 after 1,743 total performances.

Written by Schitt’s Creek Emmy Award winner David West Read, & Juliet imagines what would happen if Shakespeare’s Juliet chose not to die when Romeo did. Instead, she sets off to Paris in search of new friends, new loves, and herself. The coming-of-age story is set to 30 hit pop songs written by Max Martin and made famous by artists like Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, the Backstreet Boys, Bon Jovi, and more.

“From the very beginning, & Juliet has been winning over audiences and critics alike, shattering every stereotype about jukebox musicals to deliver a smart, funny, heartfelt story — all while sparking true joy in everyone who sees it,” producers Theresa Steele Page and Eva Price said in a statement. “We’re incredibly proud of the run we’ve had on Broadway, and the story of inclusion, acceptance and second chances we’ve been able to share with more than 1.5 million people in our four years on Broadway.”

& Juliet came to NYC in 2022 after an award-winning premiere in London's West End and a pre-Broadway run in Toronto. It is currently the only show from the 2022-23 Broadway season still running. Numerous celebrities have joined the cast during its run, and 43 cast members from over the years have made their Broadway debuts with the show.

& Juliet on Broadway has multiple new cast members joining during the final months of its run. Find all the latest cast updates below:
