
Paulo Szot stars as Hades in Hadestown on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre through March 1, 2026. He won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for his Broadway-debut performance as Emile De Becque in the 2008 revival of South Pacific, also earning Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Theatre World Awards. Other Broadway roles include Billy Flynn in Chicago and Lance in & Juliet.
An international opera star, his career includes performances with the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala di Milano, Opera de Paris, Bayerische Staatsoper, and Opera Australia in such works as Don Giovanni, Carmen, La bohème, and The Nose.
