They're bringing the ol' razzle dazzle! Beginning September 12, Brandon Victor Dixon and Amra-Faye Wright will step into Chicago on Broadway. They join the previously announced Angelica Ross (Pose), who will become the first openly transgender woman to play a leading role on Broadway as Roxie Hart.

Dixon will play Billy Flynn. He is a two-time Tony nominee for Shuffle Along and The Color Purple on Broadway, and he last starred off Broadway in Black No More earlier this year. Wright returns to the show as Velma Kelly, a role she has played on and off since 2006 on Broadway and around the world.

Dixon, Wright, and Ross will replace Erich Bergen, Lana Gordon, and Charlotte d'Amboise in the Chicago Broadway cast, respectively.

Chicago follows two vaudevillians-turned-murderesses, Roxie and Velma, who compete with each other for press attention and public sympathy — the most surefire way to get acquitted, and become stars, in Chicago's sensational, corrupt justice system. The classic Kander and Ebb musical, with classic Bob Fosse choreography, is the second-longest-running Broadway show of all time and longest-running revival of all time, having played since 1996.

Chicago is at the Ambassador Theatre.
