Ashley Graham to make Broadway debut in 'Chicago'

The supermodel will perform the long-running musical revival's lead role of Roxie Hart at the Ambassador Theatre for six weeks only beginning in April.

The name on everybody's lips is gonna be Ashley! Ashley Graham will make her Broadway debut in Chicago this spring, performing in the musical at the Ambassador Theatre from April 15 to May 25 only.

Graham is a supermodel, actress, author, and entrepreneur known as a trailblazer for curvy women in modeling. She is among the first curve models to appear on a Vogue cover, be featured on Sports Illustrated Swim, and walk in the Victoria’s Secret Runway Show. She has been named Glamour’s Woman of the Year, GQ’s International Female Model of the Year, and one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, as well as making Forbes’s 30 Under 30 list.

In Chicago, Graham will perform in the lead role of Roxie Hart, a housewife-turned-murderess who schemes to win the public's favor, and therefore her acquittal, with the help of a suave lawyer.

This production of the musical by John Kander (music), Fred Ebb (book and lyrics), and Bob Fosse (book) is the longest-running show currently on Broadway, having run since 1996.

The current Chicago Broadway cast includes Dylis Croman as Roxie Hart, Sophie Carmen-Jones as Velma Kelly, Rema Webb as Matron "Mama" Morton, Max von Essen as Billy Flynn, Greg Hildreth as Amos Hart, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
