The name on everybody's lips is gonna be... Pamela! Pamela Anderson will play a limited eight-week engagement as Roxie Hart in Chicago beginning April 12. She assumes the role from Charlotte d'Amboise, who has played numerous Broadway runs as Roxie since 1999.

Anderson is making her Broadway debut as Roxie. She is best known for her modeling work with Playboy Magazine and her television roles as C.J. on Baywatch, Lisa on Home Improvement, and Val on V.I.P., a show she also produced. Anderson has also starred in the film Barb Wire and is an animal and environmental rights activist who works on the board of PETA.

Anderson is the latest of many celebrities to step into Roxie's shoes; fellow actress/models such as Christie Brinkley and Brooke Shields have done so before her.

The John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Bob Fosse musical is about sensationalized crime in 1920s Chicago, when two vaudeville stars compete for the attention of the media and an elite lawyer after committing murder. The show first opened on Broadway in 1975, and the 1996 revival is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary year at the Ambassador Theatre.
