Namir Smallwood stars as Peter Evans in Bug on Broadway at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre from December 17, 2025.
Smallwood made his Broadway debut in 2021, starring as Kitch in Antoinette Chinonye Nwandu's play Pass Over after appearing in it off Broadway with Lincoln Center Theater. He has appeared in multiple shows with Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company, including Bug before the production came to Broadway. Other Steppenwolf credits include Seagull, True West, BLKS, Monster, Man In Love, The Hot L Baltimore, and Last Night and the Night Before.
His TV credits include American Rust, Elementary, and Chicago Fire.
