Weapons of Self-Destruction, Robin William's solo show to play Broadway
Robin Williams is to bring his solo show, 'Weapons of Self-Destruction', currently touring the country, to Broadway for a limited engagement at the Neil Simon Theatre from 28 Apr - 3 May 2009.
In 'Weapons of Self-Destruction' Robin Williams tells us what he thinks of eight years of George W Bush, and of more personal matters: divorce, addiction, and rehab, as only William's can, using his trademark free associations and riffs on social and political absurdities.
Williams said of his Broadway engagement "I'm excited to be back on Broadway. It's been a blast working on new material for this tour. The current state of the country's political and economic climate, while so hard on so many people, has been like gold for a comedian. Theres just so much that's ripe for the picking."
Williams last appeared on Broadway when he made his debut with his one-man show 'Robin Williams: Live on Broadway,' which played at the Broadway Theatre from 11 - 14 Jul 2002.
Tickets for the show will go on sale on 1 Mar 2009.
'Weapons of Self-Destruction' is being presented on Broadway by James L. Nederlander and Ron Delsener.
