To Paint the Earth at 37 Arts' Theatre C
The New York Musical Theatre Festival presents To Paint the Earth, music by Jonathan Portera, with book and lyrics by Daniel F. Levin, at 37 Arts's Theatre C from 22 Sep - 1 Oct 2008.
To Paint the Earth: Inspired by first-hand accounts of the Jewish Underground in the Warsaw Ghetto, the musical tells a fictional account of the resisters and their families, exploring how a broken community was brought to one of history's most stunning and inexplicable decisions--to fight a last battle they had no chance of winning.
Directed by Michael Bush, To Paint the Earth will star Jane Pfitsch (Mona), Scott Richard Foster (Chaim) and Robin Skye (Anna).
Jane Pfitsch's Broadway credits include 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses' (2008 revival) and 'Company' (2006 revival).
Scott Richard Foster was recently seen off-Broadway in 'Sessions,' which re-opens off-off Broadway this October with Foster reprising his role of 'George.'
