‘Titanique’ sets Broadway transfer with Marla Mindelle

After a hit Off-Broadway premiere, the Titanic-inspired parody musical set to Céline Dion’s songs will return to NYC in March with its acclaimed original stars.

The Ship of Dreams is sailing again! The acclaimed musical Titanique will transfer to Broadway this spring, fresh off a three-year Off-Broadway run that wrapped earlier this year. The 16-week limited run will go from March 26 to July 12, with an April 12 opening at the St. James Theatre.

Co-created by director Tye Blue and original cast members Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli, Titanique is a parody of James Cameron’s Titanic film, where Céline Dion narrates her own wacky version of what really happened to Jack and Rose. The show is set to her hit songs like “My Heart Will Go On,” “All By Myself,” and “Tell Him.”

Titanique previously premiered off Broadway at the Daryl Roth Theatre in 2022, becoming a smash hit, running in NYC for three years, and spawning international productions in London, Paris, Sydney, Montreal, and Toronto.

“Expect a titanic amount of pure joy,” New York Theatre Guide’s four-star Titanique review reads. “The cast and creators' enthusiasm is infectious, and if you just let it wash over you, you'll have a boatload of fun.”

Mindelle will reprise her acclaimed performance as Céline Dion in Titanique on Broadway. Additional casting has yet to be announced.

Alongside Blue, Mindelle, and Rousouli, the creative team also includes choreographer Ellenore Scott; set designers Gabriel Hainer Evansohn and Grace Lauchbacher for Iron Bloom Creative Production; costume designer Alejo Vietti; lighting designer Paige Seber; sound designer Lawrence Schober; music supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger Nicholas James Connell; and hair and wig designer Charles G. LaPointe.
