Steve Tyrell will make his Caf� Carlyle debut when he begins a nine-week engagement from the 1 Nov - 31 Dec 2005
Steve Tyrell at the Cafe Carlyle, backed by an eight-piece band, will offer a romantic evening of music culled from his critically acclaimed recordings of popular standards.
Steve Tyrell at the Cafe Carlyle selections will include "I'm In The Mood For Love," The Very Thought of You," "Isn't It Romantic" and "It Had To Be You," among others. The program will also include selections from Tyrell's upcoming release "Songs of Sinatra" (Hollywood Records) on which he lends his voice to signature tunes made popular by the legendary vocalist. They include "I Get a Kick Out Of You, "Fly Me To The Moon," "Witchcraft," "Nice & Easy" and "All The Way."
Steve Tyrell has sold hundreds of thousands of albums and gained a following all over the world. His hits "The Way You Look Tonight," "A Kiss To Build A Dream On," and "The Sunny Side of The Street," have launched thousands of weddings and millions of romances.
Last summer, at the request of the Sinatra family, Mr Tyrell was the featured performer at the Hollywood Bowl season opening concert at which Frank Sinatra was inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame. It was a signature event and a major success. With the encouragement of music legend Quincy Jones and the Sinatra family, plans were hatched for an album of Frank's material. This is one of the few times the Sinatra family has reached into the vault oforiginal Sinatra arrangements to share with another artist.
