Sacred is the New Profane at Stage Left Studio

Sacred is the New Profane, written and performed by Cheryl Harnest, directed by Jeremy Bloom, at Stage Left Studio from 25 Jul - 3 Aug 2008, as part of the Midtown International Theatre Festival.

Sacred is the New Profane: The spawn of a sex-educator mother and a Reverend-father, we follow Cheryl on her journey from drama queen to dharma queen. Desperate to replace life's moaning with meaning, she quits anti-depressants after 13 years, falls in love and realizes she reflects the Divine. A shaman, channelers and an epiphany while teaching inner city kids help her to accept her sacred nature, and her humanity, too.
