Rachel Kaly's 'Hospital Hour,' produced by Bob Odenkirk, to debut off Broadway this fall

The comedian will make her New York theatre debut with the solo comedy show, which starts performances in mid-October.

Hospital Hour, a new solo comedy show written and performed by Rachel Kaly, will run off Broadway at The Culture Club for 25 performances only this fall, from October 16 to November 23. Opening night is October 26.

The show's description is as follows: "Rachel Kaly got her first period the same day Saddam Hussein was hanged. Since then, she's been to the hospital over 300 times for various psychological treatments. Are these two facts related? Probably."

Kaly previously performed sold-out runs of Hospital Hour at London’s SoHo Theatre, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and in Los Angeles, where it was named one of the “Top 10 Live Comedy Shows of 2025.” She now makes her New York theatre debut with the show.

The comedian has previously been seen on Late Night with Seth Meyers and Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat and was recently named one of Vulture’s “Comedians You Should Know.”

The creative team for Hospital Hour includes Emmy Award-nominated director Chris Fleming, scenic designer Sully Ross, lighting designer Devin Cameron, and sound designer Germán Martinez. The producers are Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) and Christian Palomares.

"I love painful, honest, embarrassing, open-hearted comedy — always have since the days of Richard Lewis, Spalding Gray, all the tragic, hilarious, brutal greats," Odenkirk said in a statement. "Rachel Kaly is one of them and Hospital Hour is her first big bloodletting. Funny, surprising, utterly distinctive. She kills me.”

Hospital Hour will run at 9 p.m. in the same space as Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody following that show's performances. Additional 7:30 p.m. performances will take place on Mondays when Heated Rivalry is dark.
