Who she plays: Delia Cunningham stars as Rebecca Erbelding, the youngest archivist at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum as of 2007. When she receives the Höcker album, she recognizes that "there was something very special here that could teach us about [...] man's inhumanity to man and complicity and culpability," Cunningham explained. "She basically spearheads this detective story and brings all her colleagues into this inquiry that is not only intellectual, but moral."
Takeaway from the play: "Audiences expect to walk into a play about Auschwitz in 1944, and many audiences have a lot of knowledge about that time. But that knowledge will be disrupted, and they will be asked to challenge their assumptions about the people who perpetrated this genocide, and they will be encouraged to look in a slightly different direction at the history. [They'll be] asking questions that reverberate beyond the context of Auschwitz [...] about how people come to participate in acts of evil."
Career archive: Cunningham makes her Broadway debut with Blueberries after starring in the show's 2025 national tour. She's also appeared in numerous TV shows, including Before, Paper Girls, Madam Secretary, and Elementary.
