One Night...delays previews by three weeks

Rattlestick Playwrights and Cherry Lane Theatre have announced that previews for their world premiere production of Charles Fuller's One Night... have been delayed by three weeks.

The play will now open at Cherry Lane Theatre on 20 Nov 2013, following previews from 06 Nov 2013, and close on 15 Dec 2013. (The show was originally scheduled to preview from 16 Oct 2013, opening on 30 Oct 2013, and close on 07 Dec 2013.)

The production has been postponed because of a recent and unexpected death in Charles Fuller's family. As a result of the new dates conflicting with an actor's schedule, Rutina Wesley ('The Vertical Hour', "True Blood") has joined the company in the role of 'Alicia.' The cast also includes Grantham Coleman, K.K. Moggie, Matthew Montelongo and Cortez Nance Jr.

What happens to our servicemen and women when they come home? Exploring the lingering effects of trauma, injustice and one woman's recompense, One Night... looks at what happens to women in the U.S. Armed Forces when their decision to serve exposes them to an unforeseen battle against their fellow soldiers.

The creative team features scenic design by John McDermott, costumes by Jessica Jahn, lighting by Nicole Pearce and sound by Sean O'Halloran.
