Next to Normal: Second Stage announces complete cast for its upcoming musical

Second Stage Theatre has announced a one week extension of the musical comedy Next to Normal, now playing through to 16 Mar 2008.

Next to Normal opened at Second Stage Theatre 13 Feb 2008, following previews from 16 Jan , and was originally scheduled to close on 9 Mar 2008.

In this over-stimulated and pharmaceutically-obsessed world, one almost average suburban family comes to grips with a long buried secret in this darkly funny new musical. Next to Normal explores the lengths to which we'll go to keep ourselves sane and our families in place.

Next to Normal has music by Tom Kitt, book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, and direction by Two-Time Tony nominee Michael Greif.

The cast features Adam Chanler-berat, Jennifer Damiano, Asa Somers, and Aaron Tveit will join the previously announced Alice Ripley and Brian D'arcy James.

Next to Normal will feature set design by Mark Wendland, costume design by Jeff Mahshie, lighting design by Kevin Adams and sound design by Brian Ronan.
