Margo Skinner, 'Moonlight and Magnolias' cast member, found dead in her apartment.

The Manhattan Theatre Club had the unfortunate task of announcing the death of the actress Margo Skinner, who was starring in their production of Moonlight And Magnolias as Miss Poppenghul. Ms Skinner was found dead in her New York apartment on Monday 11 Apr. The cause of her death is unknown.

Miss Skinner had acted in the Sun, 10 Apr performance of the play and it is reported that she appeared to be in good health and high spirits.

The role of Miss Poppenghul is currently being played by understudy Karen Trott. The show, which is running through to the 8 May 2005, expects to continue it's run.

Miss Skinner stage credits include 'Spare Parts', 'Mrs. Warren's Profession', 'The Perfect Party', 'The Dining Room', 'Blue Window' 'Power Plays' and many others. Her film credits include 'Quick Change', 'Longtime Companion' and 'Night School'.

She is survived by two sisters, Sussanah Kelly and Sarah Skinner, and her companion, Andrew Macagnone.
