Marathon 2006, a festival of new one-act plays at Ensemble Studio Theatre


Ensemble Studio Theatre will present Marathon 2006, E.S.T.�s 28th annual festival of new one-act plays, at the Ensemble Studio from the 23 May - 25 Jun 2006.

Marathon 2006 offers thirteen one-act plays (11 are premieres) in three separate evenings. The three series will run in rotating repertory for twelve performances each (a detailed schedule of the series follows).

The playwrights contributing to Marathon 2006 are Edward Allen Baker, Julia Cho, Anton Dudley, Will Eno (Thom Pain - based on nothing), Amy Fox (Heights), Stephen Adly Guirgis (Jesus Hoped the A Train), Ann Marie Healy, David Ives (All in the Timing), David Mamet, Thomas Mizer & Curtis Moore, James Ryan, Lloyd Suh and Michael Louis Wells.

Also notable among those participating this season are 2006 Pulitzer Prize finalist Adam Rapp (Red Light Winter), Walter Bobbie (Chicago, the upcoming High Fidelity), Andrew McCarthy and acclaimed British star Ruthie Henshall.
