Get A View from the Bridge tickets on New York Theatre Guide to experience the first off-Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's classic drama, returning to New York with an all-star cast. A View from the Bridge in New York stars Academy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Sam Rockwell (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri; The White Lotus), Tony Award nominee Marin Ireland (Reasons to Be Pretty, The Irishman), and Tony, Olivier, and Emmy Award nominee Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2, An Education) in Miller's brilliant family drama. Performances begin November 27.
In A View from the Bridge, Eddie Carbone (Rockwell) is a hardworking Brooklyn longshoreman whose wife's relatives are coming over from Italy to begin a new life. Their arrival brings new beginnings — and stormy emotions. Desire, drama, and deceit unfold against the backdrop of the American Dream in 1950s New York as family events lead to an irreversible conclusion that forever changes one Brooklyn community. In this production, audiences will get the chance to see A View from the Bridge off Broadway in an intimate setting at La MaMa in downtown Manhattan.
“Some of my earliest theater memories are of coming to La MaMa as a kid and hanging out backstage while my mom was doing experimental theater of the day," Rockwell said in a statement. "To now return to the Ellen Stewart Theatre with Arthur Miller's masterpiece with these remarkable collaborators feels like coming full circle. I started my own career downtown, and institutions like La MaMa have always inspired me — as an artist and as an audience member. They're the lifeblood of our culture, championing bold new voices and reminding us why the theater matters. I've always considered myself incredibly lucky, and this opportunity feels like kismet.”
