Living Room In Africa at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre


Edge Theater Company presents Living Room In Africa, by Bathsheba Doran, at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre from the 13 Mar - 15 Apr 2006.

Living Room In Africa: UK transplants Edward and Marie relocate to a remote African village, intent on opening an art museum. Weeks after arriving, they are struck with the realization that they have settled in an area devastated by poverty and AIDS. In turn, questions about personal and political responsibilities surface and they are forced to confront what the experience in Africa means to them, and what they mean to each other.

Living Room In Africa's cast, directed by Carolyn Cantor, features: Marsha Stephanie Blake, Guy Boyd, Rob Campbell, Michael Chernus, Ana Reeder and Maduka Steady.

The production has set design by David Korins, costumes by Jenny Mannis, lighting by Matt Richards and sound by Eric Shim.
