Desire in the Suburbs at the Workshop Theater


The WorkShop Theater Company presents Desire in the Suburbs, by Frederick Glover, opening at the Workshop Theater on 19 Mar 2007, following previews from 14 Mar and running through to 31 Mar 2007.

Desire in the Suburbs:The action takes place in the seemingly safe suburbs of Westchester. Ed O'Neal, a recently laid-off NYC attorney is forced to move back home. He enlists the aid of his father's new trophy wife in a battle to gain control of their multi-million dollar estate. The son claims the house belongs to his mother who has mysteriously vanished. As sexual tension grows and emotional conflict ensues, we learn that no one is who they appear to be.

Directed by Kathleen Brant, Desire in the Suburbs features Timothy Scott Harris (Ed O'Neal), Baz Snider (Mike O'Neal) and Dee Dee Friedman (Jenny Lip).

Set design by Tim Golebiewski, with costumes by Alexandra Devin, lighting by Aaron Sporer and sound by John Dresher.
