Comedy icon Dave Chappelle makes his Broadway debut

Chappelle's In Residency on Broadway engagement runs through July 20, 2019 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

Multi-award-winning comedian Dave Chappelle officially makes his Broadway debut tonight as part of the 2019 In Residence on Broadway series. He is scheduled to play an extended engagement at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre through July 20, 2019, bringing his unique style of comedy to the Great White Way for the very first time.

Among his list of accolades, Chappelle has won two Emmy Awards for his performances on "Saturday Night Live" and for his special "Dave Chappelle: Equanimity," respectively, and Grammy Awards for "Best Comedy Album" in 2018 and 2019. He has also released four Netflix specials: "The Art of Spin," "Deep in the Heart of Texas," "Equanimity," and "The Bird Revelations."

The 2019 In Residence on Broadway series continues with music legend Barry Manilow from July 26 to August 17, 2019.
