Marylouise Burke

Marylouise Burke stars as Penny Bewell in The Balusters on Broadway at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in spring 2026.

Winner of the 2014 Obie Award for Sustained Excellence of Performance, Burke has had a celebrated, decades-long career on stage and screen. Select NYC theatre credits include Fuddy Meers (Drama Desk Award), Everybody (Outer Critics Circle, Drama League Award nominations), Kimberly Akimbo (Outer Critics Circle, Drama Desk nominations), and Broadway shows including True West with Ethan Hawke and Paul Dano; Into the Woods; Is He Dead?; and Fish in the Dark.

Burke has also had recurring roles in TV shows including Only Murders in the Building, The Blacklist, New Amsterdam, Prodigal Son, and Ozark.
