Born Erika Nay Chahoy on July 10, 1971 in Atlanta, Georgia, Erika Jayne is a singer, actress, and reality television star. She is known for appearing on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and as a recording artist in the dance music genre, topping the US Billboard Dance Club charts nine times.

Jayne attended North Atlanta High School, where she first discovered her love for musical theatre, appearing in productions of A Chorus Line as Val and Pippin as Fastrada. She began her career working as a model, performing in various girl groups and shooting commercials.

In television and film, she has appeared in Law & Order (1990 and 1991), Alchemy (1995), Lowball (1996), High Incident (1997), Sharknado: The 4th Awakens (2016), as Farrah Dubose on CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless (2016-18), and Hit the Floor (2018).

Her big break in the music industry came in 2007 when her first single, “Roller Coaster,” hit the top spot of the US Billboard Dance Club charts. She released her debut album, Pretty Mess, in August 2009. Alongside “Roller Coaster,” her #1 Dance Club chart hits also include Stars,” “Give You Everything,” “Pretty Mess,” “One Hot Pleasure,” “Party People (Ignite the World),” “Painkillr,” “Crazy,” and “How Many F*cks”. Other notable songs include “Get It Tonight” (featuring Flo Rida) and “Xxpensive.” She embarked on The Pretty Mess Tour across the United States in the fall of 2018.

She became a reality TV star as a main cast member on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills beginning in 2015. Since then, she has also appeared as a contestant on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars in 2017 and Lip Sync Battle in 2018, among many other reality television specials. She has also hosted American Music Awards Red Carpet Live in 2017 and 2018 and Billboard Music Awards Red Carpet Live in 2018.

Jayne made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre on January 6, 2020. Although she was scheduled to remain with the production through March 29, 2020, she played her final performance on March 11 due to the Broadway shutdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
