Uma Thurman to star in The Parisian Woman on Broadway

Academy Award nominee Uma Thurman is set to make her Broadway debut in The Parisian Woman - a new play by Oscar and Emmy Award nominee Beau Willimon. Directed by Tony nominee Pam MacKinnon, the production will officially open at a yet-to-be-named Broadway theatre on November 30, 2017.

Synopsis: "The Parisian Woman is set in Washington, D.C., where powerful friends are the only kind worth having, especially after the 2016 election. At the center is Chloe (Uma Thurman), a socialite armed with charm and wit, coming to terms with politics, her past, her marriage and an uncertain future. Dark humor and drama collide at this pivotal moment in Chloe's life, and in our nation's, when the truth isn't obvious and stakes couldn't be higher."

The Parisian Woman is produced on Broadway by Marc Routh, Richard Frankel, Tom Viertel, Steven Baruch, and Steve Traxler.

Uma Thurman earned Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations for "Pulp Fiction" in 1995. She won a Golden Globe for "Hysterical Blindness" in 2003 and earned Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations for "Kill Bill: Vol. 1" in 2004 and a Golden Globe nomination for "Kill Bill: Vol. 2" in 2005. She earned her only Emmy Award nomination for her portrayal of Rebecca Duvall in the Broadway-centric TV series "Smash". Other notable screen credits include "The Producers," "Bel Ami," "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," "Motherhood," "Be Cool," "Paycheck," "The Avengers," "Les Misérables," "Gattaca," "Batman & Robin," and "Dangerous Liaisons." She made her off-Broadway debut in the Public Theater production of 'Book of the Dead (Second Avenue)' in 2000.

Beau Willimon is best known as the four-time Emmy Award-nominated writer and creator of Netflix's "House of Cards" and for his Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA-nominated screenplay of "The Ides of March." He has previously been represented off-Broadway by the 2010 Manhattan Theatre Club production of 'Spirit Control' and the 2008 Atlantic Theater Company production of 'Farragut North.' 'The Parisian Woman' marks his Broadway debut.
