Micaela Diamond, Will Pullen join 'Awake and Sing!' Broadway cast

They will star alongside the previously announced Danny Burstein, Jessica Hecht, and Jeremy Shamos in director Tyne Rafaeli's revival of Clifford Odets's play.

Wake up, new casting just dropped! Tony and Grammy Award nominee Micaela Diamond (Parade, The Cher Show) and Will Pullen (To Kill a Mockingbird) have joined the cast of Awake and Sing! on Broadway, starting performances December 15 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Opening night is January 7.

Diamond and Pullen will play Hennie Berger and Ralph Berger, respectively, joining the previously announced Tony Award winner Danny Burstein (Moulin Rouge! The Musical) as Uncle Morty, Tony and Emmy nominee Jessica Hecht (Eureka Day) as Bessie Berger, and Tony nominee Jeremy Shamos (Clybourne Park, Only Murders in the Building) as Myron Berger.

Additional casting has yet to be announced.

Director Tyne Rafaeli makes her Broadway debut with the sixth revival of Awake and Sing!, following three generations of a Bronx family in the 1930s. Manhattan Theatre Club presents Clifford Odets's 1935 play as the second show in its 2026-27 Broadway season, following School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play.

Awake and Sing! also features scenic and costume design by David Zinn, lighting design by Isabella Byrd, original music and sound design by Daniel Kluger, and dialect and vocal coaching by Kate Wilson.
