La Femme Theatre Productions will stage the Tennessee Williams classic The Night of the Iguana at the Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center. Preview performances will begin December 6, 2023, with an opening night on December 17 and a closing night on February 25, 2024.

The production will star Emmy Nominee Tim Daly (The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, The Sopranos), Tony Award-winner Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent, Anna in the Tropics), Drama Desk nominee Lea DeLaria (Orange Is the New Black, POTUS), Tony nominee Austin Pendleton (Between Riverside and Crazy, The Minutes), and Jean Lichty (La Femme's A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, The Traveling Lady).

Additional cast includes Carmen Berkeley (Our Dear Dead Drug Lord) as Charlotte, Eliud Kauffman (72 Miles to Go) as Hank, Keith Randolph Smith (Jitney, American Psycho) as Jake, Bradley James Tejeda (The Inheritance) as Pedro, and Dan Teixeira (Harmony: A New Musical) as Pancho.

"The Night of the Iguana poses critical questions of faith and identity that are particularly relevant today as we navigate a paradoxically divided yet open world," says La Femme Executive Director Lichty in a statement. "Tennessee offers an answer by writing an epic that he described as 'a play about love in its purest terms.' And La Femme is thrilled to render this production for the 21st century, directed by the great Emily Mann."

In The Night of the Iguana, a defrocked priest turned tour guide in Mexico becomes entangled with a group of eccentric characters, each grappling with personal demons and desires in a tropical setting. The play explores themes of desire, isolation, and redemption.

Tony Award nominee Emily Mann will direct. The creative team also includes Beowulf Boritt (set design), Jennifer von Mayrhauser (costume design), Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Darron L West (sound design), Kathy Fabian (prop design), and Amy Stoller (dramaturg and language consultant).
