Initial information about the 2023 Tony Awards has been announced. For the first time in the awards' history, the ceremony will take place at the historic United Palace theatre in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood.

The 3,400-seat theatre — which presents events like concerts, film premieres, and a movie screening series hosted by Lin-Manuel Miranda — is Manhattan's fourth largest performance venue. For seven of the last 10 years, the Tonys have taken place at Radio City Music Hall.

This season's ceremony is set for June 11, with nominations being announced on May 2. The cutoff date for Tonys eligibility is April 27; all Broadway shows being considered for awards must open on or before that date.

The 2023 Tony Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and stream live on Paramount+. Exact timing for the broadcast has yet to be announced.
