The Shape of Metal at 59E59's Theater B

The Origin Theatre Company in association with the Sullivan Project presents The Shape of Metal, by Thomas Kilroy, at 59E59's Theater B from 8 - 30 Sep 2007.

The Shape of Metal explores the life and work of a sculptor and her complex and often difficult relationship with her two daughters, Judith and Grace. On the eve of the opening of a permanent exhibition of her work at the Museum of Modern Art, the world-renowned sculptor Nell Jeffrey and her daughter Judith struggle to come to terms with the disappearance of Grace, Judiths elder sister, who walked out of her mothers studio thirty years before. The mystery of Graces disappearance lies at the heart of the play, and haunts both Judiths life and Nells work until finally, through a cruel twist of fate, mother and daughter are forced to confront the events of the past, and exorcise its unquiet ghosts.

Directed by Brian Murray, The Shape of Metal features Roberta Maxwell, Julia Gibson and Molly Ward.
