The Screwtape Letters at the Theatre at St. Clement's

Fellowship of the Performing Arts Theater Company presents The Screwtape Letters, by C.S. Lewis, opening at the Theatre at St. Clement's on 8 Nov 2007, following previews from 18 Oct and runing through to 9 Dec 2007.

The initial production of The Screwtape Letters opened at Theatre 315 in NYC in Jan 2006 for a limited three week run but, due to popular demand, ran for eleven weeks.

Returning to the devilish role of Screwtape will be Max McLean along with his stalwart secretary, Toadpipe, played by Karen Eleanor Wight.

The Screwtape Letters is set in an office in hell, the play follows a senior devil, Screwtape, and his secretary, Toadpipe, as they train a new apprentice, Wormwood, on how to 'undermine faith and prevent the formation of virtues' in a young man who has just converted to Christianity.

The design team comprises Cameron Anderson (sets) Michael Bevins (costumes), Tyler Micoleau (lighting) and Bart Fasbender (sound).
