The Rockae at the Hudson Guild Theatre


The Prospect Theater Company presents the rock musical, The Rockae, music and lyrics by Peter Mills, adapted from Euripides� The Bacchae by Peter Mills and Cara Reichel, as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival. The musical is the first production of the Prospect Theater Company's new season.

The Rockae: Rock musical adaptation of Euripides' classic, The Bacchae: Pent-up King Pentheus takes on Dionysus and his frenzied female fans when the god of wine and theater returns to Thebes.

Directed by Cara Reichel and choreographed by Marlo Hunter, The Rockae features Michael Cunio as Dionysus, Mitchell Jarvis as Pentheus, Meghan McGeary as Agave, Gordon Stanley as Cadmus, Matt DeAngelis, Nancy Ren�e Braun, Victoria Huston-Elem, Jillian Laub, Stephanie Lo, Jaygee Macapugay, Venita McLemore, Andrew Miramontes, Tracey Petrillo, Michelle Pruiett, Rashidra Scott, Laura Beth Wells, Erin Wilson, Simone Zamore.

The design team comprises Sarah Pearline (sets), David Withrow (costumes), Evan Purcell (lighting) and Daniel Erdberg (Sound).
