The Lucille Lortel 2014 Award winners



29th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards were announced at the NYU Skirball Center on 04 May 2014, at a ceremony hosted by Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman.

The musical Fun Home, featuring music by Jeanine Tesori, book and lyrics by Lisa Kron, and direction by Sam Gold, was named Outstanding musical.

Will Eno's The Open House, directed by Oliver Butler and produced by Signature Theatre was named Outstanding play.

Additionally, the musical Here Lies Love, with concept and lyrics by David Byrne and music by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, was also a big winner on the night, picking up 5 awards - the most of any individual show this year.

Two special awards were also presented at the ceremony:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Robyn Goodman
  • Playwrights' Sidewalk Inductee: Richard Nelson
