The Exonerated: Brooke Shields & Michael McKean
Brooke Shields and Michael McKean join the rotating cast of the tenth anniversary production of The Exonerated, from 2 - 7 Oct 2012.
Brooke Shields featured in the original production of The Exonerated in 2002. Her Broadway credits include 'The Addams Family,' 'Wonderful Town,' 'Cabaret,' 'Chicago' and 'Grease.'
Michael McKean is returning to the stage for the first time since his injury, when he was hit by a car near Times Square, which forced him to withdraw from the cast of 'The Best Man.' He has appeared on Broadway in 'Superior Donuts,' 'The Homecoming,' 'The Pajama Game,' 'Hairspray' and 'Accomplice.'
They join the shows non-rotating cast which features Jim Bracchitta (Prosecutor 2), Amelia Campbell (Sandra Cook), Bruce Kronenberg (Prosecutor 1), Curtis McClarin (David Keaton), April Yvette Thompson (Georgia Hayes) and JD Williams (Robert Earl Hayes.
Written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, and directed by Bob Balaban, The Exonerated opened at the Bleecker Theater on 19 Sep 2012, following previews from 15 Sep, and will end its limited seven-week engagement on 4 Nov 2012.
The Exonerated, a dramatization of the real-life stories of six individuals who were sentenced to death and later freed amidst overwhelming evidence of their innocence. The play is culled from interviews, letters, transcripts, case files and court records of individuals on death row.

The show is produced off-Broadway by the Culture Project, in special association with The Innocence Project.
